02.27.2024 The House Judiciary Committee gave this bill a favorable report.02.27.2024 The House Judiciary Liquor Liability Ad Hoc Committee gave this bill a favorable report as amended. The amendment strikes all of the language in the bill and replaces it with language that allows reductions in the amount of liability coverage required if businesses comply with risk mitigation measures. The bill also includes language that reduces to $500,000 coverage needed by nonprofits or special events and it funds a state trust fund to help reduce premiums.02.15.2024 The House Judiciary Liquor Liability Ad Hoc Committee met and took testimony on the bill but did not take any action. Summary of the bill as introduced: Provides an affordable option for liquor liability insurance to any person or business that is required to maintain a policy.
